ABSTRACT:

Pedagogical innovations represent an essential component in the development and improvement of the teaching process, in accordance with the demands of the 21st century. They directly influence the quality of learning and the development of key student competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. This paper examines the role of pedagogical innovations in the development of teaching, within the context of educational reforms in Kosovo, emphasizing their importance in building a more flexible and inclusive education system.
Pedagogical innovations are not limited to the use of technology; they also involve the transformation of teaching methods, didactic strategies, and classroom organization, placing the student at the center of the learning process. In this way, they contribute to creating a learning environment that supports active learning, individual development, and social interaction among students.
The research findings indicate that the majority of teachers use innovative methods in teaching and consider them an important factor in increasing student motivation and engagement. The most commonly used methods include group work and the use of technology, which contribute to the development of collaborative and active learning. However, the findings also reveal that the use of innovations is not yet fully integrated in a systematic way, and there are challenges related to the lack of professional training and teaching resources.
In conclusion, pedagogical innovations play a significant role in the development of teaching and in improving the quality of education. However, their effective implementation requires institutional support, proper planning, and continuous professional development of teachers.
