Digital Information and Communication Technologies in Education (TDICE): contributions to the future of education in Brazil
Prof. Dr. Mariajose Costa Dos Santos, Yuli Barros
ABSTRACT:
The National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) is a normative document that guarantees comprehensive, high-quality teaching and learning in schools. This document emphasizes that computational thinking is not just about using computers or programming, but rather about how challenges are approached, how diverse problems a resolved, how patterns are identified, how relevant information is abstracted, and how algorithms are created to find solutions. It aims to introduce computational thinking into the mathematics teaching and learning process, using digital information and communication technologies in education (TDICE) for teacher training, reflecting a flexible and dynamic curriculum that takes into account the comprehensive development of students in Brazilian schools. This is qualitative research with exploratory procedures. It is based on studies on the superintelligent society, literally translated as Society 5.0, and uses IoT, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and robotics, supported by the Fedathi Sequence Teaching Methodology. Bibliographic research is conducted on documents, articles in qualified journals, and theses and dissertations published on the Capes platform. The study involves public schools, targeting elementary school students and teachers. Theresults indicatethat teachersand students need greater access to TDICE. This involves changes in teacher training, assessment, and the official curriculum so that computational thinking, through TDICE, can be more present in Brazilian classrooms. The topic is considered relevant, thus aiming to broaden the locus of research. To this end, we receive support from the Ceará Foundation for Research Support (Funcap).
