ABSTRACT:

Critical thinking education research is a fast-growing topic in the 21st century, instructors have challenges in facilitating, monitoring, and supporting critical thinking in primary science (Kirk et al, 2023). In primary science education, critical thinking is a pivotal skill that can equip students with the ability to solve problems, analyze and evaluate information effectively and make informed decisions. The Implementation of effective strategies to foster critical thinking in primary science education can lead to significant educational outcomes.
Furthermore, critical thinking in primary science education encompasses the ability to reason rationally, challenge presumptions, and apply knowledge in fresh contexts. It has been observed that developing these skills early is very crucial as it lays the foundation for advanced scientific learning and problem-solving skills. This paper explores different strategies to foster critical thinking skills in young students in elementary science classes and assesses how they affect the performance of the students.
