Gema Mateo Pacheco

ABSTRACT:

Education faced new challenges between 2020 and 2021 due the pandemic of COVID-19. Since then, youth students have passed through changes in their school trajectories in higher education. Students find themselves in a new generational configuration of the educational system framed by structural processes of socio-political scenarios. This research aims to rebuild the school trajectories of the youth based on their dynamics of affective socialization in the spatial and digital spheres. In this paper, affective socialization is the process in which students interact with others, through actions and shapes, to generate affectivity. In this way, the goal is to acknowledge their experiences and meanings based on a conceptual framework of socialization, affectivity, peer interaction and school trajectories. The qualitative methodology is proposed with ethnography in selected cases of students in Benemérita Universidad de Puebla (BUAP) in Mexico. The contributions are aimed to analyze the configuration of school trajectories and recognize the youth affectivity to add to the line of research on experiences at the university.
