ABSTRACT:

This study aims to evaluate and analyze the activities in the teaching and learning of Tasawwur Islam, based on the experiences and approaches used by several teachers in their teaching processes. Through interviews with four teachers involved in teaching Tasawwur Islam, this study reveals various activities carried out in the classroom and the approaches they use to encourage active, critical, and constructive learning. Among the activities identified in the data analysis are presentations, discussions, idea generation techniques, storytelling and metaphor techniques, group activities, motivation and threat techniques, as well as answering techniques. The case study is qualitative in nature, utilizing in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis to gain a comprehensive understanding of the teaching methods employed by the selected teachers. Data from interviews provide insights into the teachers’ reflections on their instructional practices, while classroom observations allow for a direct assessment of how these activities are implemented in practice. Furthermore, document analysis of teaching records, lesson plans, and student assignments supports the investigation of how these activities align with the curriculum and impact student engagement. The data collected from these methods were analyzed using NVivo 12.0 software, which helped to systematically code and identify patterns, themes, and key findings in the data. This combination of qualitative methods and NVivo analysis offers a rich, contextualized view of how Tasawwur Islam is taught, providing valuable implications for improving teaching practices and learning outcomes in Islamic Education.
