ABSTRACT:

This paper delves into the practical application of structured reading interventions for bilingual English-Polish students with dyslexia, drawing on firsthand experiences from educators implementing these programs. With a keen focus on the linguistic and orthographic challenges inherent to English and Polish, the study evaluates the effectiveness of phonics-based approaches, multisensory learning techniques, and systematic instruction tailored to each language. Through qualitative analysis of teacher observations and quantitative assessment of student progress in reading fluency and comprehension, this research provides a comprehensive overview of how structured interventions can be optimized for bilingual dyslexic learners. Key findings highlight the importance of adapting teaching strategies to the specific linguistic contexts of English and Polish, demonstrating significant improvements in students’ reading abilities when interventions are carefully aligned with their unique learning needs. The paper offers practical guidance for educators on implementing these structured reading programs, including detailed recommendations for lesson planning, instructional techniques, and resource allocation. By sharing insights gained from the direct experience of teachers working with bilingual dyslexic students, this study aims to equip educators with practical tools and strategies to enhance reading competency across languages, ultimately fostering a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
