ABSTRACT:

The current context of education, but also of the research field, has an important digital component. Whether we are talking about pandemics, wars, conflict zones, or we are raising the issue of globalization, mobile borders and contemporary man’s tendency to explore, to look for areas as far as possible from his native ones in order to interact both with different people from the point of view of culture, religion, ethnicity and to specialize in one field or another of the professions, technology must be taken into account, the online environment that facilitates today, more than ever, both communication and learning. The Romanian language has become attractive for young people who come to Romania from different corners of the world to study, therefore, first of all, from the perspective of its functionality, through the prism of specialization in various fields, it has become more and more studied. Digital work tools are an opportunity to study and learn a foreign language much easier. These open educational resources are attractive, very accessible, but they also have a number of shortcomings. The present work aims to highlight the impact of online platforms, digital tools on learning a foreign language, also surprising their limits.
