ABSTRACT:

The profound impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and advancements in Artificial Intelligence have led to substantial transformations in higher education landscape. These influential forces have collectively forged a new trajectory, steering higher education institutions towards a technology-driven future. While the integration of technology in learning environments holds promising opportunities for higher education institutions, it is imperative to acknowledge and address the accompanying challenges. As higher education institutions navigate the swiftly evolving technological landscape post-Covid-19, a re-evaluation of strategies becomes imperative. While the experience of the learner within this landscape is well documented in extant literature, there is a notable gap in understanding the impact on teachers who are now positioned as facilitators. This study addresses this gap by presenting the findings of a systematic literature review that explores the teacher’s experience as a focal point within the technology-driven learning environment, utilising the Covid-19 pandemic as a contextual landscape. The aim of this study is to contribute valuable insights into how these shifts have influenced the teacher’s experience, thereby enriching the ongoing discourse on optimising education in a technology-enhanced environment.
