Innovation in teaching and learning in the field of the Art Education in a public school in Paraguay

ABSTRACT:

The research, of a descriptive and practical nature, has focused on two aspects: on the one hand, innovation in Art Education and its consolidation in the national educational program, and, on the other hand, the impact of artistic activities on students and teachers. As a first phase, the research focused on the study of Art Education in the national educational program, to understand the educational reality of this subject in Paraguay. Subsequently, the research presents a practical project of artistic intervention with a group of artists called Tetâgua (of the earth) with a long trajectory in artistic interventions in public schools, educative spaces in Paraguay and other countries in Latin American. The artistic intervention project has been developed entirely by the 7th grade students of the Cándida Achucarro School in the town of San Antonio – Central Department of Paraguay.
