ABSTRACT:
This research endeavors to address the glaring gap in our understanding of the accessibility of health services for disabled women, with a specific focus on healthcare facilities in Hadiya Zone, Hosanna Town, Ethiopia. Despite global efforts to enhance inclusivity in healthcare, disabled women continue to face barriers that hinder their access to essential services. The Hadiya Zone, like many regions, reflects the need for a comprehensive investigation into the factors contributing to inaccessible health facilities for this demographic. This study adopts a mixed-methods research design to capture both quantitative and qualitative data, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the factors contributing to the inaccessibility of health facilities for disabled women. The results underscore the urgent need for targeted interventions to address physical, communicative, and attitudinal barriers faced by disabled women in healthcare facilities. These findings not only contribute to the local context in Hadiya Zone but also provide insights that can inform broader policy reforms, fostering a more inclusive healthcare environment for disabled women on a global scale. In conclusion, this research has provided a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by disabled women in accessing healthcare services within Hadiya Zone, particularly in the town of Hosanna, Ethiopia.
