Reasons Why Romanian Students Drop Out from University: A Qualitative Study

ABSTRACT:
This research study is part of a broader project aimed at assessing the quality of academic services offered by the West University of Timisoara (WUT). Specifically, our focus was to identify the reasons why students chose to withdraw from their studies. Data was collected over the course of a university year, spanning from October 2022 to September 2023. Our results suggest that once a student decides to withdraw, the university’s support departments have limited ability to change their decision.
