LGBT+ College Students’ Perceptions of Learning Experience in China
Sexual orientation and contemporary college students have been experiencing hostile campus environments. In order to provide a happy and friendly environment for these students, this study aims to investigate the learning experiences of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender of college students in China. Data will be collected from the semi- structured interviews and analyzed with a thematic analytic approach. This research used 8 participants’ responses with main themes including (1) identity, (2) campus climate, (3) negative experiences, (4) positive experiences, (5) influences of experiences and (6) academic outcomes. Findings contributing to LGBTs’ real experiences and true feelings in Chinese college can be conducive to euqual education environment for sexual and gender minorities.
