Multi-Functional- Cultural Centers at Municipalities as Safeguarding Triggers for Communities’ Cultural Authenticity and Identity via Sustainability

ABSTRACT: 

 The article deals with the study of the concepts of former, Art and/or Culture Houses” in 12 regions of Georgia. Based on the research data and international analogs there is proposed an action plan for further activities of multifunctional centers. The concept and the strategy of multi-functional/cultural spaces in regions of Georgia will be one of the prerequisites for: a) Promoting cultural values of the municipality and stimulating the capacities and attitudes of local community dwellers and b) Preserving and popularizing the identity of a particular region or  a municipality, its culture, customs/habits, and traditions. Recreational areas/zones, friendly -multicultural environments are all conditions that constantly attract individuals of any age, nationality, or social status, it is a space where creativity and community meet.
