A Case Study of Sri Sri Academy, Hyderabad

ABSTRACT:
Sri Sri Academy Schools were established by universally revered spiritual and humanitarian leader, Sri Sri Ravishankarji who is the recipient of second highest civilian award of India in the year 2016– the ‘Padma Vibhushan’. His vision of promoting quality education that instills self-esteem and creativity among children led to the foundation of Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir Trust which regards educational institutions as ‘temples of knowledge’. The trust has established various schools, colleges and universities across India. The school, Sri Sri Academy is under SSRVM Trust at Hyderabad. Sri Sri Academy is a premium Central Board of Secondary Education affiliated senior secondary school with residential facility. Spread across five acres, this campus has spacious classrooms, laboratories, library, music & dance studio, art and craft studio, playgrounds, sports facilities, 2-level security, hygienic kitchen, dining hall, etc., and above all, a teaching methodology that integrates experiential learning. The student-teacher ratio of 20:1 is maintained. Being a day and boarding school, students from other parts of India also have the opportunity to study here. Students learn dance, music,yoga, pranayama, martial arts during co-scholastic classes. The school premises include a safe, green compound and an open playground. The case study has been dealt with various tools to secure information. The tool of research include observation, interview, questionnaire. The data had been secure from Principal, teachers, students and parents. The key aspects of the Institution was to explore the teaching learning methodologies and the learning outcome of the students. In-depth research is aimed to know the curricular activities and educational transactions carried out in Sri Sri Academy have been dealt in the present research.
