ABSTRACT:

Nowadays we are in a difficult situation, where the Twenty-First Century can’t be considered to be moral/ethical because we cannot survive as civilization unless we have a solid cornerstone of spiritual values related to faith and spirituality. The first task of general education is to return to the moral life because moral education is the most important dimension of personality formation–development activity. In most countries of the world: the USA, Great Britain, Russian Federation, European Union, Japan, the state encourages the education of young generations through the prism of moral values because they face multiple problems and are exposed to various risks. Respectively, our research aimed to establish the frequency of moral values in the school content within the Lyceum, by analyzing the specialized literature with reference to moral values analyzing school content for high school students in the Republic of Moldova, and determining the focus of these contents on moral values.
As a result of the research, it was found that many kinds of research in the field attach special importance to moral values, but really the school contents are more focused on intellectual values, social values, vital and sensory ones, non-values, and very little on moral values.
Thus, the overthrow of the values caused by society takes place, which orients adolescents towards certain behaviors of self-destruction but also to indifference and aggressiveness towards the environment. Hence there is a need for this research.
