ABSTRACT:

Organizational resilience has become a key concept to understand how organizations to face crisis, disruptions and uncertainty. This study analyzes the dynamics, dominant approaches and research trends in organizational resilience through a systematic literature review following the PRISMA methodology. The review was based on the SCOPUS database, initially obtaining 473 records. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 188 documents, published between 2015 and 2025, were selected. The corpus was examined using descriptive analysis to identify patterns of scientific production, thematic structures and the main conceptual and methodological approaches in the field. The findings reveal three main lines of research. First, organizational resilience as a capacity to address crisis of different kinds, including economic, political and environmental disruptions. Second, organizational resilience is understood as a process of adaptation and organizational learning, not a set of isolated events, but as a continuous cycle of responses to external shocks. Third, organizational resilience is examined as a strategic capacity associated to performance, sustainability and value creation. Although the literature on organizational resilience has grown significantly, its conceptual fundaments, analytic approaches and measurement methods remain fragmented. This fragmentation limits a systematic understanding of how resilience is built, measured, and linked to long-term organizational performance. This study addresses this gap by emphasizing the need to study organizational resilience as an integrated phenomenon, thereby contributing to the development of more effective management strategies.
