ABSTRACT:
This is a research work carried out by Ebenezer Akinniyi in partial fulfillment for the PhD in Business Administration degree at the Faculty of Business Administration with specialization in Global Business Management, National University formerly North Central University, San Diego, CA, U.S.A.
Chapter 1 of this study discussed the introduction to Effective Leadership, how it can facilitate change in organizations, and the important role it plays in managing a business.
It further finds the gap in the literature (literature review), and the research statement/study of the problem. The theoretical framework and research questions and answers were discussed as well in this chapter, and the importance of the study, and purpose statement were included in this chapter too.
In Chapter 2, we explore various leadership theories, highlighting the traits and behaviors that can enhance leadership capabilities. We also discuss the importance of strong ethics and the transformational nature of relationships between leaders and followers. We invite you to read more and share your thoughts!
Chapter 3 of this study/research dissertation explains the effect of change in an organization and how it affects the employees and their ability to respond to change either positively or negatively.
Chapter 4 explains the different research methods that can be used in international businesses around the globe. It also explains the different types of research methods researchers can use in their dissertation or study. Furthermore, the researcher made use of both the qualitative and quantitative research methods (Mixed method) for this research or study.

Chapter 5 explains the empirical findings used in this study, it also introduces the organizations studied and the analysis of the interviews held with the different organizations studied with their
representatives at the top management level. The analysis of the research survey/questionnaire was also discussed in this chapter.

Keywords: Good leadership in international organizations is necessary, but not sufficient, for their success. Structures supporting leadership vary enormously across global agencies. This report highlights some of the best practices across organizations that facilitate good leadership. It also underscores that international institutions could learn from each other’s practices across seven domains: (1) Selecting and re-electing leadership on merit, (2) Managing performance, (3) Setting and evaluating ethical standards, (4) Developing and retaining talent, (5) Setting strategic priorities, (6) Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and (7) Evaluating independently and effectively. This study reflects on the analysis of how good leadership can bring positive change(s) to international organizations across the globe by exploring the concepts of population and the economies of globalization
