ABSTRACT:

Food waste management has been a significant concern within military mess facilities. To address this issue, the commercialization of mess operations was introduced as a mitigation strategy. However, limited research has focused on food waste, and even less on the impact of commercialization on operational effectiveness, management skills, and service quality standards in the context of military personnel development. This study aims to investigate the impact of the commercialization of military mess facilities on operational effectiveness, management skills, and service quality standards concerning military personnel development. The study will employ regression analysis to examine the relationship between the duration and level of involvement in mess commercialization and improvements in operational effectiveness, management skills, and adherence to service quality standards. Additionally, thematic analysis will be utilized to code interview transcripts and observation notes, identifying recurring themes related to operational improvements, management skill development, and quality standards adherence. Data will be collected through surveys and structured interview questions. The research aims to develop a comprehensive framework that enhances the operational efficiency, management capabilities, and service quality of military mess commercialization, ensuring both financial viability and personnel satisfaction.
