The Strategic Use of Artificial Intelligence in Political Decision-Making
Dr. Sarah Abed Zayer
ABSTRACT:
This research explores the strategic use of artificial intelligence (AI) in political decision-making. It begins by analyzing AI’s theoretical concepts, defining the nature and types of political decisions, and highlighting the complementary relationship between AI and traditional decision-making models. The research relies on a conceptual review supported by examples from recent literature, demonstrating how AI contributes to improving governance, supporting democratic dialogue, analyzing public opinion, collecting big data, and formulating policies through predicting future scenarios. It also discusses the possibility of integrating AI with traditional models (rational, institutional, and systems) to enhance their effectiveness and mitigate associated risks. The research concludes that the effective use of AI in politics requires an integrated framework that combines technical analysis with human perspective, along with legislative and security controls to ensure integrity and transparency. This framework helps define the essential conditions for the effective use of AI in political decision-making.
