Investigation Of the Effect of Online Learning on Student Learning in A Private University in Sharjah

ABSTRACT:

Laboratories play a significant role in science education. There is little question that the use of technology in these settings will affect science learning, especially because technology has pervaded practically every area of daily life. In the era of the COVID-19 epidemic, this article examines how universities are delivering teaching and laboratory activities remotely. The purpose of this study was to investigate how students’ performance was influenced by using virtual laboratories. as well as their attendance and overall satisfaction with virtual lab learning. Toward this end, the researcher utilized survey and test achievement to collect data from student results with purposefully selected participants in a phenomenological approach; all data were analyzed via an SPSS program. According to the findings, the virtual lab has no effect on students’ academic performance and attendance rate. The findings suggest that the students had a generally good satisfaction regarding virtual lab learning. To promote effective scientific learning, certain guidelines and ideas are made.
