ABSTRACT:

This study investigates the impact of online gaming on imagination and creativity among individuals with learning disabilities. Through EEG analysis and semi-structured interviews, it was found that online gaming can enhance imagination and creativity, particularly in improving attention and inspiring creative ideas. Moreover, specific brain regions such as the frontal lobe, parietal lobe, and hippocampus are involved in the creative thinking process, and participants’ descriptions of the gaming world highlight its stimulating effect on imagination. However, online gaming also poses security risks, especially for individuals with mental health issues, caution should be exercised. In conclusion, this study offers new insights into the influence of online gaming on imagination and creativity.
