ABSTRACT:

Learning a new language or any EFL is not always pleasant. Especially for adults like the tertiary level students. However, of these lackings, students could have also lagged in their academic and professional lives. So the best solution for this is to find the easiest way to learn L2. This paper discussed the problems that students face with reading, listening, writing, and listening skills in Bangladesh. So the motive of this paper is to find out how the IELTS teaching methods can be helpful for tertiary level students. To discover the teacher and students’ perspectives on this, I made two questionnaires for both students and teachers with the help of Google Forms. A total of 50 students and 11 teachers responded to this survey. Most students and teachers agreed on the same issue, suggested solutions to their problems, and gave valuable opinions. And their answers and opinions indicated that the IELTS teaching method needs to be implemented at the tertiary level in the education system in Bangladesh.
