Social And Pedagogical Paradigms for Research and Modelling of Educational Ecosystems
Tsvetelina Radenkova, Simeon Sapundjiev, Daria Kovacheva
ABSTRACT:
The poster presentation introduces a research project which aims to explore and systematize the diverse paradigms and models of educational ecosystems that have emerged over the past two decades, reflecting a growing interest in the ecological dimensions of education.
The research seeks to clarify the systemic boundaries and complexities inherent in these models. The methodology includes a thematic review of existing literature, a mixed-methods empirical study of operational models, and the development of a complex paradigm model for interdisciplinary research. Expected outcomes involve multiple publications in indexed journals, contributions to scientific forums, and the creation of a digital platform for educational ecosystem modeling. The project posits two hypotheses: First, that existing models often overlook the interconnectedness necessary for holistic sustainability; second, that achieving resilience and positive impact requires an interdisciplinary approach that integrates various ecological dimensions. Ultimately, this research aims to provide a comprehensive framework for understanding educational ecosystems, facilitating better practices and policies in education through enhanced conceptual clarity and empirical validation.
