ABSTRACT:

The impact of the armed conflict has transcended to such an extent that it has become part of the daily life of families, a situation that has left indelible traces in the psyche of different social groups. The purpose of the research was to analyse the psychosocial effects of child and adolescent victims of the armed conflict in Magdalena Medio in Colombia. The research carried out from the qualitative paradigm with an action research approach, allowed for the collection of important information through the application of interactive techniques for the collection of information with the participating population. Among the main findings are the impacts on the socio-emotional level of the families, the resilience processes developed, and the coping mechanisms triggered by the impact. The need to intervene in these issues with accompaniment processes from the school and from the psychosocial dimension is foreseen.
