Systematic Literature Review of Supply Chain Management

ABSTRACT:
Supply Chain Management has become a crucial factor in company development and competition since the late 20th century. The article provides a transparent definition of Supply Chain Management by examining the body of literature. It also explores the current state of research in Supply Chain Management and identifies potential areas for future research in forthcoming articles. The article analyzes the influential research of Supply Chain Management using various criteria, including disciplines, journals, countries, and authors’ keywords. The analysis was based on a dataset of 76,493 articles obtained from the Elsevier and Springer databases between 2012 and 2022. The result from the analysis indicates that the primary disciplines were Environmental Science (13,288; 17.37%), Medicine & Public Health (10,396; 13.59%), and Business & Management (8,498; 11.11%). The terms “Sustainability,” “Green Supply Chain Management,” and “Sustainable Supply Chain Management” have been the most often used author keywords in the last years. The fast growth in attention and interest in Supply Chain Management is attributed to information technology, with the most referenced articles in recent years.
