ABSTRACT:
The objective of this research was to understand the resolution of an integral by partial fractions using GeoGebra in engineering students at the University of Antofagasta in Chile, during the second semester of 2023. This research followed a qualitative approach, of the case study type. Semi-structured interviews with three questions about the general objective and two specific questions were applied to five students of the differential equations course. It was found that the opinions expressed about the use of this software are quite positive, evidencing what was expressed by several authors in the mathematical and educational field and by virtual educational tics communities, formed by teachers, students or both, about the immense benefits that GeoGebra has. in mathematics. Finally, it can be concluded that the use of GeoGebra facilitates the performance of algebraic calculations along with the visualization of the integral, which generates good perceptions in learning.
