Newman Wadesango
ABSTRACT:
This paper aims to examine effective approaches to ensuring student privacy and safety in educational settings, highlighting the balance between leveraging technology for academic advancement and protecting sensitive student information. The increasing integration of digital tools in educational settings has raised significant concerns over data security, surveillance practices, and the ethical implications of using student information. This review synthesizes existing research on privacy policies, data protection regulations, and best practices for implementing secure technologies in classrooms. By analyzing case studies and successful implementations from various educational institutions, this paper identifies key strategies for promotion of a safe learning environment while maintaining student privacy. Recommendations include comprehensive training for teachers on data management, the establishment of clear privacy policies, and fostering a culture of transparency and trust within school communities. Ultimately, this work seeks to inform policymakers, educators, and stakeholders on actionable insights and potential frameworks that safeguard student privacy and safety in an increasingly digital world.
