Innovation Across Stages: Investigating the Influence of Corporate Life Cycles on the Digital Economy Patents in China

ABSTRACT:

Recognizing the rapidly evolving role of the digital economy in China’s GDP, this paper studies the how corporate life cycles have impact on the digital economy patents of listed companies in China., Reflecting the degree of innovation through the variable of digital economy patent filings. Our research analyzes historical economic policies and technological advances, with a focus on big data technology as an important sector of the digital economy. We looked at patent trends and noted China’s strength in the global filing volume. The empirical results obtained by Pearson correlation coefficient and High dimensional fixed regression, and 2SLS regression model. Results show that there is a significant positive correlation between enterprise life cycle and digital economy patents. Addressing the literature gap on innovation in China’s listed companies, this study provides insights into the impact of the corporate life cycles on the number of patents, providing a framework for understanding China’s dynamic future economic and technological trajectory. The paper concludes with a synthesis of empirical evidence and theoretical perspectives to highlight the importance of intellectual property in fostering a competitive and innovative digital economy.
