Sinf-E-Aahan: Role of Language in Developing Perceptions Of Empowerment in Pakistani Women

ABSTRACT:
The study investigated the role of language in the screenplay Sinf-e-Aahan in developing perceptions of empowerment in Pakistani Women. The study applied a quantitative method. The purposively selected sample consisted of 100 viewers to explore the language used in underpinning portrayal of empowered women. The data collected through survey questionnaire were analyzed statistically and thematically using SPSS. The results and findings revealed linguistic features used in Sinf-e-Aahan’s language to support the understanding of the concept of women empowerment. The results also showed women in non-traditional roles, aiming to create story that empower and inspire. The study concludes that Sinf-e-Aahan’s efforts to empower women and recognize their contributions are admirable. It includes creating an inclusive and supportive environment that enables women to shine in their roles, providing equal opportunities for training and advancement, and ensuring that women’s voices are heard and their achievements are acknowledged.
