The Differences in Designing Portfolios of Graphic and Digital Design Students – Greenwich Vietnam

ABSTRACT:
Designing portfolios for students majoring in Graphic Design, Digital Fine Art, etc… at many universities in Vietnam means preparing a job application right after graduation. However, Graphic and Digital Design students – in Greenwich Vietnam are going to design private portfolios that are very necessary and important. Designing a portfolio not only helps Graphic and Digital Design students – in Greenwich Vietnam to survey the social needs of the vocational market, leading to building career aspirations but also orientate self-employment in the future…, most portfolios of Graphic and Digital Design students – in Greenwich Vietnam are particular identify the strengths and weaknesses in currently own skills, achieve outstandings in competitions, pretty skills get from freelance works and internships, expressing passions for personal career development, self – business plan, philosophy of living and working,… Besides, the final goal of designing a portfolio is also to build much personal confidence by presenting when students are interviewing for a new position immediately after graduation or approaching a new job. Therefore, researching, analyzing the market needs, and creating portfolios help students to practice professional working skills, and get a foundation for confidence and plenty of creativity in designing products. The research result shows some differences in the designing portfolio of Graphic and Digital Design students – in Greenwich Vietnam who have already a lot of outstanding knowledge, ability, and especially communication in a foreign language, and adaptability of global citizens.
