Breaking Into The International Market: Income And Margin Improvement For Spanish Small And Medium-Sized Enterprises
Geoffrey Ditta
ABSTRACT:
In this study are examined the objectives of internationalization and the international development of Spanish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The following research article is a demonstration of how small companies need to respond to imports in the short, medium, or long term. The aim is to prove that financial flexibility is significantly correlated with business success, and clearly, the larger the company is, the higher the revenue will be. The results obtained confirm the existence of economic growth for companies having a significant impact on regional and international efficiency, especially those who previously worked on research and market performance. The total number of companies in Spain engaging in external operations are extremely low, only 5,48 % of the SMEs in Spain are involved seriously in a complex process of internationalization. Most SMEs receive less than 2.0 million euros per year in sales and are generally registered as SMEs without employees. Another relevant analysis is to identify whether SMEs engaging in internationalization have better sales performance than SMEs that do not engage in international affairs.
