Prof. Dr. Deepanjana Varshney

ABSTRACT:

Quiet quitting (QQ) implies that employees do not officially quit their jobs but become detached and disengaged because of a reassessment of the work values and a serious focus on work-life balance, flexibility, and meaningful work. This working paper investigates the impact of employee Quiet Quitting on employee Performance in the New Normal after the COVID19 pandemic. Data from 226 participants was gathered from the Social Exchange Theory and the Conservation of Resources theory to derive a relationship between employee quiet quitting behavior and employee performance—the effects of Empowering leadership and Moral Resilience as mediating and moderating variables were examined, respectively. The findings have been highlighted, and future research implications have been discussed.
