An Analysis of How Human Advantage Is Eroded in Contemporary Societies by Processes and Systems
Majid Salim
ABSTRACT:
This paper observes that, given the highly organised nature of modern economic capitalism, interlocking processes and systems are often required to govern the life of every individual. But because of the way they are designed, they can often have a dehumanising effect. This paper introduces the reader to such a concept, and then exemplifies how such a notion can be seen in practice. It concludes by suggesting that a solution may be the introduction of Universal Basic Income (UBI), which allows people to be politically independent of processes and systems that they are otherwise forced to rely on to survive. This theoretical analysis approach provides a foundation for future empirical research and practical applications in the field of Applied Economics.
