Navigating the AI Landscape in Jordanian Organizations – An Exploration of its Impact on HR Practices

ABSTRACT:

This paper aims to delve into the impact of artificial intellegnece (AI) on Human Resources management (HRM) functions within Jordanian organizations. Utilizing a thorough examination of existing literature and gathering data from 16 HR professionals employed in both public and private sectors in Jordan, we aim to evaluate the current landscape of AI integration and its effects on HR department operations. The findings of our study show that the integration of AI into HRM will reshape traditional roles and responsibilities within the field. As AI becomes more prevalent, HR professionals must adapt to a changing landscape, acquiring new skill sets to effectively navigate the digital transformation. However, concerns loom regarding the drawbacks of AI integration, including issues of privacy, bias, and job displacement. Despite these concerns, there are perceived benefits to AI integration in HR, such as increased efficiency in recruitment processes, data-driven decision-making, and personalized employee experiences. Overall, the effect of AI on HR functions is undeniable, accompanying with the new era of automation and innovation that demands both caution and adaptation from HR professionals.Our study endeavors to uncover the impediments to AI adoption in Jordan while also presenting its advantages and disadvantages.
