Aramudin, R. Hariyani Susanti
ABSTRACT:
This research explores the pivotal role of local context in shaping the social attitudes of primary school students, investigating the intricate relationship between the environment, culture, and young learners’ attitudes. Using quantitative research methods, the study relies on systematic observation to gather numerical data, examining the connection between primary students’ exposure to their local context and their social attitudes. By meticulously recording students’ behaviors and interactions within their local environment and quantifying variables like participation in local events and community engagement, statistical analyses reveal the profound impact of local context on primary students’ social attitudes, producing precise and objective findings. This research contributes valuable insights to education and social psychology by emphasizing the significance of integrating local context into primary education curricula, fostering socially conscious and culturally aware students. The study identifies a strong correlation between exposure to local cultural practices and the development of pro-social attitudes, with actively engaged students demonstrating higher levels of empathy and inclusivity. Ultimately, this research underscores the importance of incorporating local context into primary education, promoting a more harmonious and interconnected society.
