Determination of Graduate Online Learners’ Satisfaction Levels Towards E-Courses

ABSTRACT: 

In this research, it was aimed to determine the satisfaction levels of the students studying in the graduate programmes of Anadolu University Graduate School of Social Sciences regarding the e-courses conducted over the internet. A total of 488 online learners participated in the study conducted with the cross-sectional survey model of quantitative research method. The data for the study was gathered online using the “Satisfaction Scale for E-Courses” developed by Kolburan-Geçer and Deveci-Topal (2015). Some of the findings obtained as a result of the research are as follows: (1) Learners’ satisfaction levels towards online courses show a significant difference according to age, occupational status and monthly income level variables. (2) Learners in the older age group are more satisfied with online courses than learners in the younger and young middle age group. (3) Learners working in the public sector have a higher level of satisfaction with the materials and communication tools used in online courses compared to learners who are not employed. (4) The satisfaction levels of learners with high monthly income levels regarding online courses are higher than those of learners with low monthly income levels.
