ABSTRACT:

Consumer behavior has always been an intriguing subject for the academic researchers as well as for the industry practitioners. This study tries to map the published research with keywords ‘consumer behavior’ and ‘hotels’. For this the paper relies on the Dimensions database freely available in the form of research articles, books etc. VOS Viewer was used as the tool for the analysis of bibliometric data. A total of 273 documents (Articles only) were analyzed of which nearly 20% were from United States and 8% from China. The results were reported in the form of figures and tables. The results pointed that though the research output has been growing for consumer behavior in hotels still the output is quiet low, particularly in India which implies that more insights in consumer minds is required to understand their needs and expectorations. Being a bibliometric analysis, the paper puts forth the current trends and suggests future perspectives.
