ABSTRACT:
In this exploratory descriptive work, the objective was to investigate what it means to carry out university studies for students in an open modality and what is their vision of the future, to have information and feedback on the career program, and if necessary contribute to enrich educational processes. 32 students with a majority of female enrollment participated with 75%, aged between 19 and 36 years, from the Pedagogy Career of the Open Education System of the Universidad Veracruzana (SEA UV) of the first semesters. An interview was applied to the participants in which information was requested such as: age, sex, marital status, if they work, the origin and open questions. In the results, regarding the completion of studies in the Open Education System, they highlight the modality as permissive, since it makes it possible to study and work, they are concerned about adaptation during the beginning of the degree, since they work in blocks of subjects, coupled with the fear of not completing their studies, if the conditions of confinement return; Others mention the vocation and the context as factors of influence, while still recognizing the level of preparation of the teachers and having a team of colleagues who support the educational tasks. Regarding the future, they mention that the Open Education System guarantees them the knowledge of the world of work.
However, there is uncertainty regarding getting a job, given the post-pandemic conditions; then being an entrepreneur is another option.
