ABSTRACT:

Introduction: This literature review examines at mentors’ perspectives on the quality of clinical nursing practice, with the goal of identifying significant elements that influence effective student training, clinical integration, and the overall development of nursing competencies. Methods: A systematic literature review was performed in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) standards. Scientific resources such as Scopus, PubMed, and SAGE Journals were searched for peer-reviewed studies that examined mentors’ perceptions of clinical nursing practice quality. After removing duplicates and screening titles and abstracts, we screened suitable full-text articles and extracted pertinent data. Results: A total of 25 papers fulfilled the inclusion criteria and were included in the final analysis. The study identifies several factors that influence mentors’ assessments of clinical practice quality, such as student preparation, communication, institutional support, mentor workload, and clinical supervision requirements. Conclusion: Mentors have an important role in structuring the clinical learning environment. Their opinions offer unique insights into nursing education’s strengths and challenges. Understanding these aspects is critical for increasing clinical training quality, bolstering mentorship models, and, ultimately, improving patient outcomes.
