ABSTRACT:
This study was conducted to examine the effects of different variables on the imagination level by comparing the imagination levels of children who participated in recreational football activities for two days and those who participated for five days. When studies in the literature are examined, it is seen that there are differences in many dimensions between individuals according to the frequency of participation in activities. The level of imagination may be one of the dimensions in which this difference occurs.
Children aged 10-13 from Ankara participated in this study. The study used Kafkas’ (2011) Sports Imagination Scale for Children and Personal Information Form, whose validity and reliability studies were conducted in Turkish. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data.
According to the participants’ imagination scale activity type t-test results, A significant difference was detected between the children who participated in five-day activities and those who participated in two-day activities in the general motivation awakening/revival sub-dimension.
When the imagination levels of children who participated in football activities for two days and those who participated for five days were compared, it was seen that the imagination skills of those who participated for five days were higher.
