ABSTRACT:

Gender bias and inequality have been persistent and intricate challenges spanning numerous generations, leading to both men and women encountering discrimination within the workplace. The Human Resources (HR) department plays a pivotal role in eliminating the likelihood of gender discrimination by shaping policies and refining HR practices. The primary objective of this research is to investigate the prevalence of workplace discrimination against both genders and analyze its impact on individuals and the overall organization. The study delves into the narratives of seven individuals, encompassing both males and females, who have confronted gender-based discrimination in their professional environments. It sheds light on the enduring existence of gender stereotypes in the Jordanian culture. The research findings substantiate the inquiry’s core questions, illustrating that both genders indeed confront workplace discrimination while emphasizing the vital role of the organization and the HR department in addressing such instances. Moreover, the study elucidates the psychological repercussions associated with being subjected to gender inequality and bias in the workplace. In conclusion, this research will expound on both theoretical and practical implications derived from the study’s outcomes.
