Oksana Khymych, and Enno Masurel
ABSTRACT:
The importance of fostering the innovative entrepreneurship and startup development in Ukraine cannot be overstated, particularly in the aftermath of the ongoing war. Ukraine’s innovative entrepreneurship faces numerous challenges as the country seeks to rebuild and reinvigorate its economy. This study aims to provide the key recommendations to stakeholders for overcoming the obstacles hindering innovation and startup growth in post-war Ukraine. The research method employed a comprehensive literature review to map the scientific landscape of recommendations for overcoming the emerging challenges facing startups in post-war Ukraine, which have been identified by utilizing the qualitative research approach. The research identifies key recommendations for fostering innovative entrepreneurship in post-war Ukraine, including targeted financial and housing support for returning Ukrainians, the restoration of critical infrastructure, and legal reforms to reduce bureaucracy and corruption. It further highlights the need to create specialized mentor networks, develop English-language programs to enhance international collaboration, and promote the startup culture through the establishment of co-working spaces and hackathons. By prioritizing these focused recommendations, the goal is to streamline efforts and maximize impact, ensuring that targeted interventions effectively address the core challenges identified in the research.
