AI and Foreign Language Acquisition in Developing Countries

ABSTRACT:

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, it is increasingly being utilized in the field of education, particularly in foreign language teaching. The concept of education metauniverse is also gaining popularity, and the emergence of Chat GPT has revolutionized traditional foreign language teaching methods. AI technologies such as speech recognition, machine translation, and natural language processing have proven to be effective tools to help students improve their foreign language learning outcomes. However, the application of these technologies also brings some challenges in educational systems in developing countries. This paper aims to discuss the question if the students in economically disadvantaged countries are deprived of this type of progress in language acquisition.
