The Attitudes of Arab Learners toward Learning English Language from YouTube Channels

ABSTRACT:
This paper addresses the YouTube channels in learning English language by Arab learners. The researcher uses a quantitative research design with a questionnaire with 12 items to know the attitude of Arab learners towards using YouTube channel in learning English language. The participants of the study are 50 learners; they are from different ages, countries and levels of English language. After publishing the link of the questionnaire in different YouTube learning channels, the participants answering the questionnaire and the researcher analyzed the data. The results of the paper show positive attitudes of the Arab learners toward using YouTube channels in learning English language. Also, the descriptive statistics indicate that the learners’ attitudes towards using YouTube channels in learning English language as indicated by the mean scores ranging from 2.80 to 3.920 on a four point scale. Then, the learners report high to very high levels of positive attitudes toward using YouTube channels in learning English language. Thus, the researcher draws conclusion and recommends of using YouTube channels which learn English language and which can help the Arab learners to learn and improve their English language.
