Neurologists and Their Use of Online Information: A Survey Comparison between the Uk, Portugal, And Ireland

ABSTRACT:
The utilization of the social media has been becoming closely ubiquitous (Hutchinson, 2016). The applications of the social media are mainly available, not limited, or low cost, or free of cost according to the temporal boundaries or the geographics. Among neurologists, almost 89% utilizes at least one platform of the social media modality in their lives, and 68 percent utilizes the social media for the professional purposes (Sosnowy, 2014). Almost 70% of the people in the UK utilizes at on platform of the social media. To find out the use of the use of the online information by the neurologists. The research is focused on the social media and its usage comparison among the UK, Ireland, and Portugal. In the qualitative research, the research purposively sampled almost 11 participants that are responsible for the use of the online information and social media. The research has been accomplished with the help of the thematic analysis. About fifty emails were delivered to the neurologists of UK, Portugal, and Ireland. Out of which only eleven responded. All of them of them were from Portugal, and nobody from UK, and Ireland responded. The questionnaire was comprised of thirteen different kinds of the questions.
