Basis for an Integration Intervention Program
Dr. Hannah Lyn Perez
ABSTRACT:
This case study looks into the experiences of former children in conflict with the law who have used drugs and was rehabilitated at the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth under the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Through in-depth interviews, the study delves into the three (3) participants’ stories on examining how drug stigma, both self-perceived and societal, influences their behavior and access to preventive care. By analyzing their stories, the study anticipates to identify predictive behavioral patterns associated with drug use for children with drug use. Furthermore, it looks into the gaps and limitations in current drug intervention techniques used by government agencies for the children who used drugs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the interview, to develop framework, and to help develop more effective drug intervention and prevention strategies. This study has the potential to improve treatment approaches for children conflict with the law who used drugs, and struggling with drug use, thereby promoting public health and well-being.
