ABSTRACT:

The following paper aims to discuss the multifaceted interaction of organizational culture and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). One of its features describes how DEI initiatives, intended to strengthen the fair treatment and distribution of resources, are affected by the attitudes and norms created by organizational culture. The scoping review makes an attempt to address the areas of interest like leadership commitment, employee engagement, policies, culture, and societal constructs/ legal requirements. It underlines the issue of leadership in DEI by pointing out that, good policies and practices make use of DEI by making a facility more welcoming thus improving the satisfaction of the workforce and performance of the company. This paper uses the scoping review framework focusing on the method of systematically identifying, selecting, and synthesizing sourced studies. In this aspect, the study presents evidence to show that despite recruitment, DEI efforts depend on the overall culture of the workplace in terms of the structure and value for diversity, equity, and inclusion. The work concludes by providing strategies that organizations can employ in order to enhance DEI by properly relating DEI objectives with cultural practices, hence developing equity for everyone.
