ABSTRACT:

The realization of women’s human rights remains a complex and multifaceted endeavour, shaped by the unique socio-political, economic, and cultural landscapes of diverse contexts. This paper undertakes a comparative analysis of the persistent obstacles hindering the full enjoyment of these rights across various regions and communities. Examining discriminatory legal frameworks, entrenched patriarchal norms, and the disproportionate impact of conflict, climate change, and economic instability, this study highlights the specific challenges faced by women in different settings. However, it also identifies critical opportunities and innovative strategies being employed to advance women’s human rights. Through an exploration of grassroots movements, policy reforms, technological advancements, and international collaborations, this research showcases promising pathways for progress. By juxtaposing the enduring barriers with emerging avenues for change, this paper offers a nuanced understanding of the contextual realities shaping the advancement of women’s human rights globally, ultimately advocating for tailored and intersectional approaches to achieve substantive equality.
