Creating a Business Consulting Practice: Virtual Strategies for Brainstorming with Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools and Applications

Prof. Dr. Bob Barrett

ABSTRACT:

The field of consultant has expanded greatly since the late 1990s, however the dot coms of that time which were part of many new consulting groups failed and some of the consulting agencies either consolidated looked at other areas or industries or failed themselves. Consequently, the onset of ever-changing technology has helped many in the field of consulting to branch out and find new areas of business opportunities, as well as developing their own areas of specialization. In fact, while many have seen the period known as the COVID 19 pandemic as a major stain in the global history of many countries, it also forced many people to try new technological avenues for exploration and inner examination of their own skills, abilities, and knowledge. Therefore, this paper will focus on the use of technology and helping one to create a virtual business consulting practice especially with the use of various strategies for potential brainstorming a business opportunities and exploration, along with the use of artificial intelligence and the areas of tools and applications. It should be noted that while many companies started to explore this area of artificial intelligence, the field of artificial intelligence stems back to the 1950s with the work of Turing in the UK. Even the author of this paper started work in the late 1980s in the field of artificial intelligence and has noticed a great change just within the past few years of the explosion of artificial intelligence. One of these areas for exploration has been education, specifically in business opportunities and transactions. Therefore, this paper will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence technology and how it can help new college graduates, current members of the workforce, as well as recent retirees to consider the possibility of creating their own virtual business consulting practice.
