The Impact of Social Media Platforms on Saudi Women Entrepreneurs

ABSTRACT:

The study contributes to the existing body of literature regarding the use of technology by Saudi women to further their business aspirations. Notably, the study will contribute to the existing knowledge of how technology has assisted women in overcoming traditional barriers and reaching broader markets. The intended study will use surveys to collect essential data for the study. The survey will take the form of interviews for the selected study sample. The sample, which will include Saudi women entrepreneurs, will be invited to interviews where they will offer insight into the usage of social media platforms to overcome traditional barriers and reach broader markets. The Impact of Social Media Platforms on Overcoming Traditional Barriers the interviewees reported that social media are the tools that assist women not only because they allow them to work online from their homes, but also because these women can exercise their right to have a variety of business activities without having to follow traditional gender expectations to be good wives and mothers. The Effectiveness of Social Media Platforms in Broadening Market Reach and Business The interviews indicate that, in addition to social media facilitating communication and globalization, it is a tool for an entrepreneurs enabling them to connect globally and learn from the experiences of others which can, consequently, help business growth.”
